About iLite
Who We Are
iLite was started on the 23rd of June 2005 by Sean and Kirsten Marx as a mobile development company specializing in applications for mobile devices. Over time we evolved into a leading Moodle solutions provider.
Our goal as an e-Learning company is to provide affordable, professional learning solutions to our clients. We looked at several systems and various content development tools. Our skills at customizing and supporting Moodle make it a natural fit and became the obvious choice. Articulate was a fantastic choice for providing interactive content that is engaging and responsive. Articulate also has an effective client review function that makes the review of content easy.
iLite applied to become a Moodle Certified Partner and had to prove our Moodle skills to Moodle. We had to meet specific requirements and had to prove that our plugins were up to the Moodle standard. On the 11th of March 2019, we were welcomed into the Moodle family and became Moodle Certified Partners.
As a result of the Covid pandemic, we have seen a greater need in Africa to provide affordable secure hosting for Moodle. With this in mind, we started iLite Africa on the 28th of July 2022. iLite Africa is based in Mauritius and is focused on providing affordable, reliable, secure hosting to our clients on the African continent.
iLite has over 16-years’ experience in e-Learning. Our experience includes the development of custom plugins, and integrating Moodle with other systems, such as SAP, Sage, PaySpace, and Udemy.
Our content development team, known as iCreate develops interactive content using Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, H5P, and Moodle. We further use the Adobe suite of products like Character Animate, and After Effects to enhance the learning solutions that we create.
We merge all our learning technologies into the perfect learning environment to provide tailored learning experiences for our clients that we are very proud of.
Our aim is to make learning affordable and accessible to all. We want to give our clients the very best Moodle site and provide engaging content that enhances the Moodle experience. We want to make sure that Africa is at the forefront of what is available to learners and aid teachers in providing the best learning experience we can.
